BEIJING, August 4th, 2009 - Oak Pacific Interactive ("Oak Pacific") announced today the launch of Renren.com, the new domain name for China’s largest Web 2.0 site, formerly known as Xiaonei.com.  Renren.com will strengthen its existing services while offering an online experience tailored for Chinese users.  Renren.com aims to provide a more efficient and engaging service that maximizes the potential of Oak Pacific's leading interactive communication platform for the 338 million Chinese online users.

Xiaonei.com was founded in 2005 and has since become the largest and most influential Web 2.0 site in China with 70 million registered users.  Following its massive success in universities servicing tens of millions of college students across the country, Xiaonei added white-collar features and functionalities to the platform in 2007.  Plans to move beyond its college student base have long been formulated as Oak Pacific aspires to serve its increasingly broadened target audience more effectively.

"As our college users leave campus to join the workforce, Xiaonei’s audience is constantly evolving as it grows.” said Joe Chen, CEO of Oak Pacific Interactive.  “We change together with our users. The new domain name will not only mark the birth of Renren.com, but also signal the dawn of a new era of Chinese Web 2.0 eco-system and a milestone for Chinese Internet development.”

As an open platform, Renren.com has incorporated many aspects of Web 2.0 communication methods that map the experience of offline inter-personal interactions.  This platform brings together friends, classmates, co-workers, and family members to connect and to share.  Renren.com brings convenience and efficiency to online communication and fun to work and life.
